Kingpin for Indy Truck 101
Hi,

during some of the last sessions with Lisa (www.rollergirl.ca) in Vanocuver I twistet the kingpins on two of my Indy 101 trucks. Does anybody know where a can get some spare ones?

Thanks and regards from Vancouver,

Daniel

It seems that you not only twisted your kingpins but that you also twisted Vancouver. ;-)

At the friendly skate shop round the corner?

 : Hi Bernhard,
:
: I will definitely check the Skateshop around the corner, but I was wondering about the sizes/length of the Kingpins. I had two Indy 101 trucks which Kingpins differed significantly. I hope that I can use a Kingpin of a newer model. I bet Chirs Eggers will know definitely which newer Indy Truck has the same Kingpin size than my old ones.

 Greetings Daniel,

Most of the new kingpins I've come across have been too short. Indy does carry new 101s, but that would be an expensive way to replace kingpins. I don't know of any sources for old longer kingpins. Good luck hunting!

If hunting through skate shops yields no results, you could go to a hardware store and get some grade 8 bolts of the right diameter and length (you could cut them down if they're a little long). For the head of the bolt you'll have to grind off just a little bit on two opposing sides of the hex so they'll drop down into the slot. Buy matching nuts for the new bolts because your old ones will have a different thread.

 Hi Irene, hi Dave,

thanks for the hints. If I won't find some "old stuff" in some skateshops I will try to use a "normal" screw with corresponding nut. Shouldn't be a big deal to cut it down.

Daniel

Uh not really..........you donīt break kingpins slaloming actually....if you are not too heavy.
The hardware store is a good idea I am sure....if not check Daddies boardshop online resource, they might know...
