First, what's up Marcos!! It's been a long time since we don't know anything about you. I'm glad you are still there.

As you can see in the forum, we are still skating, so if you ever want to come to ride with us (we use to do it in Lyon), just let us know. You know we are going to tell you to put your rollerskates on again!! ;-)

Second, answering Bernhard, those bowls are still opened to public, but their surface is really spoilt. I have heard something regarding a project to renew them, but as far as I know, they are in really bad conditions for rolling them. As a matter of fact, in Winter, they use to be flooded.

If you want to see a map and some photos, check this link:

http://www.e-skate.net/ and look for "Parque Sindical. C.D. Puerta de Hierro. Madrid" in "lugares", just in the left frame.

I also would like to send you a night action photo in Lyon. As some of you must know, in Spain there is a tradition of going outside at night in a procession on Eastern Holidays. Well, we had our own "procession" in Lyon's gathering.

 Hello Everyone,

A friend of mine sent me a Youtube video of myself, and that drove me to this forum,
I am surprised to see many people I know from the old times, Bernhard, Rene and Thomas and obviously the "infatigable" Nelo and the rest of Spaniards.
Lola, I can t believe you recorderd radical and kept it for so many years, do you have any more videos?

Cheers everyone...

Marcos Longares

 Hi Marcos,

so great to hear something of you after such a long time. Welcome to this place where you can meet other crazy roller skaters. I think I haven't seen you since you have been in Freiburg at the Mösle ramp (which isn't there anymore, btw. But we still have another big ramp).

How are you doing? Are you still skating? Where do you live now?

Did you have a look at the video browser for this forum? There you can find some more videos. There is also an image browser allowing you to browse through the picture posted to the forum.

Bernhard

 Hi to all!

What a surprise to find Marcos here!

About your question, Marcos, I have 2 videos uploaded in YouTube. One is that yours, and the other one is an old TV report about Madrid rollers in the 80’s. It contains a few scenes filmed in the Sindical bowl, but the biggest part is about street roller skating (because of that I did not linked it before to this forum). But anyway, maybe you would like to see it:

Sorry for the bad quality of the images.

If what you meant was if I have more reports recorded from Radical, yes I have. But they are all about spanish snowboarders, skaters, flatlanders..., nothing more about roller skating.

Well, I must turn back to work. Really good to know about you Marcos, and regards to all the people of this forum!

Lola

: Those bowls are not open. There is an "association" which is called " club deportivo parque sindical" who sends frecuently emails to his members (i´m on their list :D) telling them how is going the renew. In the last e-mail they said that is going to be very dificult repair the bowls and the park in general because it´s very broken and the materials do not get fixed in a correct form

Well, here I am living in Barcelona and not skating at all, snowboarding and surfing keep me busy enough for now...BUT, I still have both bags ready, my rollerskates and pads in one bag and my inline skates in another bag ready to roll.

That day is going to come I know..

Lola, thanks for sharing that other video, I can t believe it is also me in the quick scenes in Parque sindical.

Parque sindical is the place I learnt to skate, I has a big bowl, 3 meters transition and no vert, with a big channel.

I ve seen many pros there, In skateboard, hosoi and Caballero did in 89 the biggest airs I ve ever seen, Gator did a Mctwist and during a long time, Brain Wainwright ripped it as if it was his home.
It is probably one of the most difficult places where to skate, no coping, no vert, almost no flat, a long transition and a very rough surface...
