| Two things work really well :
PETITIONS - with LOTS of signatures.
And bodies - Get asd many people to go to those meetings as you can.
We had a group that petitioned the city (here in Austin) to build our skate park. In Houston, the same thing happened with a group called P.U.S.H. (Public Use Skateparks in Houston). It works! Politicians listen to big groups.
Cheers and good luck!

: I don't think a single rollerskater is going to have much influence. You may want to rally the other skateboarders who want more vert/bowl stuff than street.

: : Has anyone gone to the meetings on bldg. the parks and been listened to as a rollerskater? I talked to my friend and he said I need to go because all of us older skaters hate these kiddie launch myself onto my ass skateparks with zero flow. They are more dangerous then something with just a curve and flow. And boring if you arent into rails/launches. But all the soccer moms was these boxes and rails cause their little kids like them and say vert/bowls are more dangerous.
