That is a funny comment about Jay. I remember taking that picture and telling him I did not get the entire thing. lol Don't get me wrong, I think the pics are fine, but since I rarely take pictures anymore they are not what they used to be. I agree that any pictures of vert rollerskating are good. Especially when you get pictures of these folks. It was so cool rolling up at my local spot where they only see me and having another 7 skaters with me. I had several people ask me if I planned it or knew they were coming. They seemed pretty stoked. One day soon, we will all have to converge and roll 30 deep.

First let me say how proud I am that I beat Jay to this post. I have already put together three videos and realized they were missing so much skating.I am waiting for Vimeo to be available. Somehow they downloaded to one folder and did not all download to another. Once I put the videos together I realized how much skating was missing. I knew I filmed Duke busting over the gap at Memorial, but it was no where to be found. Well, I found it and will try to put something together tomorrow.

I have to take a minute to say how priveleged I was to hang out with such an amazing group of people. Dawn was always smiling and such a great person to be around. Rider is the coolest baby on earth. The little dude never cried and always smiled. Jay is such a great guy and even though I knew he could skate, I was blown away. That dude rips. Desi is such a great guy and an amazing skater. Duke is the best out here and the nicest guy you could meet. Karen was amazing on her skates and a very great person to hang with. I got to hang out with Irene for several sessions and some beer and pizza. Wow, what a great skater and truly wonderful person. Jamie is my new skate pal and a totally cool guy. His skating is getting so good and he is the most enthusiastic skater I know. Chris is the coolest 10 year old I know. The dude rips on a board and on inlines. Man,I hope I am not leaving anyone out.

My pictures really suck, but here is what I have so far. The video is much better. These folks showed up at my local spots and did not even need to warm up before they were killing it. We may be a small group, but we have heart. We spent a lot of the weekend saying how amazing the Spaniards, Germans, and Autralians skate. If I am leaving anyone out, let me know because all of you kill it.

Enjoy the crappy photos and video will be coming soon.

Great post Robert. I am not sure why you think these pics are crappy though. The first couple shots of Duke you can't see his face, but it is still a pretty good action shot. Seriously though, any pic with more than one vert skater in it is hard to dismiss as 'crappy'.

Oh, I noticed something in one of the pictures that could be very dangerous. Jay, you could very easily lose your TONGUE anytime you stick it out while doing anything that may result in a fall.
