 Will there be another trip to Lyon soon?
I am entertaining thoughts about skating there with some rollers.
It will give me the chance to explore more of europe, too.

  If everything goes right we hope to be there from march the 31 to april the 8. Lyon is a beutifull city, we like to make tourism while not skating. Of course if you need any more information ask me or Nelo because we have been there many times.

which is the airport nearest to lyons?

I wish to celebrate my birthday on April 8th and Lyons would be fantastic!
Any info to do this trip would be appreciated. Thanks

There are direct flights from New York to Lyon for about 600$.

It's of course a big additional motivation to celebrate your birthday in Lyon. I have checked the calender, however. April 8 is Easter! This means that I probably can't leave for Lyon before midday on this very day. I will check what my options are. It could be too cold for the motorcycle.

I found some flights (1 stop-over each way) for under $600(US) roundtrip.
Do you know of cheap places to stay (6 nites) April 5-10?

I have never been to Lyon myself. It also not very near to Freiburg (435 Kilometers) so I tend to prefer the train over the motorcycle for getting there (takes more than 6 hours).

I'm sure the spanish roller skaters know everything about Lyon and will be able to offer us some suggestions.

We don't know exactly where we gonna stay but use to find rooms for two or three from 12 or 15 euros each one. When we decide something i'll tell you. Of course we will be pleased if we stay all together in the same hotel.
We probably have a car there so there's no problem with the transport there.

Very reasonable rates, it sounds like a good plan.
The airport is named Satolas (LYS). Is this the nearest to Lyons? Gerland?

I hope to be back on my motorcycle soon. Temperatures will reach 50-55F in the next several days here in NYC.

LYS is Saint Exupery. So I'm pretty sure that it is the nearest one.
