First day in Oz

Thanks for putting your faith in me. I try very hard not to disappoint you. I'm now in Cairns and hope to be able to shoot some pics of the skate park (despite all the tourist stress). The park must be really awesome!

 Hi all,

just wanted to let you know that I arrived save and sound in Melbourne. Got a short-cut through customs which was very nice. Spent my first day with my hosts, Tim and Sonja, relaxing and walking about a bit. Melbourne is very nice, Tim's and Sonja's place is near Flinders Station, which means very central. I have got an australian mobile number, but I do not have it at hand just now. I hope I can give it to my australian friends soon. At least I have put down Ludi's number so we should be able to talk soon.

I will continue to Ayer's Rock on Monday an then to Cairns on Thursday. Will be in Sydney in time to meet everybody at the SOS jam. Stay tuned!

I will be taking pictures (of course).

But it will take some time until I can share them since I shoot slide film. I have to have it developed when I get back and then I have to scan them ...

Yeah, see you at SOS. Have been at the Olgas and the Rock today. Will drive to Kings Canyon tomorrow.

I'm almost used to driving on the left side already! ;-)

Thanks, I have been staying there. Bookings had been arranged from Germany. But from tomorrow onwards (Cairns to Sydney) I am on my own.

Only found lizards, tadpoles, birds and cows (dead and alive) so far ...

Be sure to photograph any critters on the ramps doing cool tricks, we all know how gifted those aussies are. Have a hella fun trip B!

Photographed a two-wheeled critter in the awesome skate park of Cairns today. Hope the pics will come out OK, I want to put them up on Sk8Mag.de for a spot check.
