Soccer cleats?
I don't know anyone whose done that. Very innovative.
Might you be interested in these boots? They are narrow and a little long for me. Same size 6 as my old boots, but the new model of this boot is cut differently.
I could measure the insole for size. They sell for around 50 bucks. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

I found some short mounting bolts with sinking heads and washers that go down 2mm. The washers are 10/16" diameter. Good enough for the soccer skates? Whats best to cut the rubber cleats? Saw, xacto or jigsaw carefully? Got a lot of em. Found out speed sessions are Wed. nights!

I signed up that site but no confirm email so not sure I can use it or if I did something wrong...

In my experience that should be big enough. If you want to do really good, you can an inset out of 1 mm aluminium, drill mounting holes into that and counter-sink your bolts.

Now idea on that. Neither would I use soccer boots. But that seems to depend on the continent you are living on. I always used basket ball shoes for my street skates.

Any special tools to cut the aluminum? I dont have a bandsaw..... I'm making more speed skates. The full length insole would be beyond my tools now I think.

I'd have to ask the guy who did it for me. But he was working at a metal-processing outfit back then ...

Only old wireless tools for me: very inexepensive, low noise level (I leave in an appartement). I just use a hand saw. I could cut easily 7mm thick Aluminium along 30cm: you start from from both ends (3mm inox steel too, but that's hard....). Same for drilling!!! I can fix the ramp without electricity, or dealing with batteries......

My hockey skates arent selling at all. I might keep them then I can use those flat bolts out of them. I could use that plate for another skate too and cut off the hard toe for another skate later.

I used rugby bots for my first set of skates this time round and they had the screw in studs so I re-positioned the stud nuts to suit the plates and the bolts go into the boot from the outside. Now I use the same type nut for all my skates,I will try and post a photo of the nuts when I get a chance,
Hey Zorg,,after seeing your tools I'm thinking I should have sent you some wooden wheels maybe..

cheers joe

Here are the bolts heads for 2 of my skates (4mm in diameter):
-left: speed
-right: ramp (I could re-use the central nuts for inline plate+ quads ones)

For the cleats, try to cut not too much, just what you need to adapt the sole on you flat plate (and keep the natural bent curve of you shoe). The back cleats migth remain, to act as heal block:

Are those the new carerras? Cause those pinch my fat piggies lol. I will take them if they are the old ones. Everything is extra narrow on me but my piggies.

I went to speed practice, me and a bunch of serious competitive inliners. Dang, they are FAST! Make the derby girls look like they are standing still. I got to go FAST though and my legs are so tired I can barely walk so now I'm SUPER happy! I feel so much better now. It didnt bother my knee so this is really good for me now while I'm still healing. So I want to build some speed skates to tire myself out when I cant hit the ramps. Wow, I was thinking if there were a small launch ramp in the rink as we were racing, I might fly from one side to the other hahahaha! It was a lot of fun but nothing compares to the ramps.

Well, I might have to wait a week to mount them since I have an exam. I might take out the flat bolts out of my hockey skates and try those. I think they would work the best. If I could get t-nuts or something like you have, that would work better. But my feet are fairly narrow for the shoes so I could just put in a mm extra padded sole to cover up the heads. Think these boots would work ok for indoor speed too? If not, they would be great trekking street skates! The speed skates Lisa sells is way beyond my budget right now. But I hope to get some off ebay for $10 lol.

Santa Claus has also religious origins! He is inspired by
Nikolaus von Myra (* between 270 und 286 in Patara; † 6. December 326, 345 oder 351).

Alas, the Coca Cola company highjacked Santa Claus and changed his outfit to their corporate colors. :-(
