Indy plates and trucks
: I think that these plates would be stong enough with a jump bar-slider like mine. All skates need some sort of jump bar or block to keep your disaster re-entries from grabbing on the coping. Just going off, I think it would be great to not have to modify anything, just bolt it together, dreaming. I am inerested in seeing Brian get a skate on the market. I will buy a pair just to encourage the market. Tim

Here's something on Ebay of interest to a lot of you old schoolers.

: These are looking really great!
:
: If the price goes too high, I think Suregrip plates might be quite similiar ... Would skateboard trucks fit into these Independent trucks?
:
: Looking forward to Brian's skates ... :)

the geometry of these plates matches indy trucks of any width of that era. I am not sure if new indys will fit in these or not. I rode indy plates from '81-'84 until one of them broke in half right down the middle from a plate stall. These would be great collectors items but pretty fragile as a vert skate.

It seems as if they have the smaller system, where narrow pivots like ACS etc would fit (probably like Suregrip, Variflex, etc), but not current skateboard hangers.

It would be great to have something like these Indy plates or the Suregrip plates, just with larger pivot holes so that any (typical) current skateboard hanger can be used. And they should be lighter ... :)

Very interesting; I would have thought that Indy plates are just as sturdy as Indy trucks (are now). Thanks for the info!
