Tim the rollerskater

I did skate for Benjy Boards and did advise them on the benjy boot and even skated the benjy boot wheel, in fact still have them on my street skates today. But back to the subject, Andy Peerless was the wharehouse order filler, box packer and he started skating as soon as the shipment of rollerskates showed at the warehouse. The only time I saw him skate was at Rolling Thunder skate park in London. I thought that it was cool because I had litteraly never seen another rollerskater doing what I was doing. that was back I believe in 1978 Andy now runs Fearless Ramps in England.

There are scans of issue 2 of Skateline with reviews of rollerskates of the time - ACS and Benjy Boot. I vaguely remember from an old Skateboard! (UK mag) that Tim Altic had a hand in the design of the Benjy skate. Also an image of Andy Peerless from way back when...

Those Bauer Oak Streets Andy's wearing look pretty cool. It would be nice if Bauer brought them back out again.

 Tim, am i correct that this is not Tim Altic. Tim Who? or do you just prefer Tim the Rollerskater?
Anyway, I was fortunate enough to skate with Andy Peerless one day several years back. I was in Southsea with Jason Tubb and several others for the S.U.A.S. It rained so we took a trip towards London and skated a park that was inside of an old bridge. Rene Hulgreen was ripping the mini ramp and then we all converged on the vert and Andy appeared. Jase told me that he was one of the guys that got him stoked on rolling in his early days. We had loads of fun and it was cool to skate with a legend.

I think it's Tim "Tim the Rollerskater" Altic :)
