| : What is frontside?
**Frontside is facing out 'toward the deck'. Backside is facing away from the deck 'into the bowl'. When doing a trick on the coping, if you approach the coping with your back aiming out of the halfpipe/bowl, then you are doing a backside trick. If you approach the coping with your back aiming into the halfpipe/bowl, then you are doing a frontside trick. (2 different ways of saying the same thing)**
