| : It is fun being creative with something that drives you. I always feel really good when making modifications to my skates, or motorcycle, anything really. I went through several attempts at grinders before settling on one thing that worked well. My plate and truck setup is still not making me happy though.
: That is one tall pair of skates! and the distance from the base of the plate to the surface is really big too. I know that I would not be able to stand on coping to drop in without some modification. Did you happend to put them on a scale yet?
: At any rate the effort will always benefit you, either from getting it perfect in one try or learning what does and does not work so well from first hand experience. This stuff is good for the soul.
Hey Beer.
Welcome to the Forum! You've skated with Biff!Lucky man! I'll be skating with him later this month. Can't wait!:)
No scale yet. They feel comparable to my current sk8s though. As far as the height goes, I know they're high but think it'll be fine. I've skated everything from stock sk8s with that much gap between ground & bottom of boot or more to having less than 1/2 inch between ground & my sole. It doesn't seem to bother me much either way. Guess I'll know for sure by later today sometime!
Anyway, I hope your knee's not bad & heals fast so you can get back out there as soon as your sk8's healed too!
Good Luck. PEACE......Jay
